Jobs Filters Popup

How to use the Jobs list's filters to narrow work by status, date, round, service, payment method, equipment, and business.

Work Planner Team11 April 2026

The Jobs list keeps its filters behind the Filters button beside its search, so the table stays clear while you combine several of them, especially when you are trying to narrow a long list down to a very specific set of jobs. On a computer or tablet they slide out from the right of the list. On a phone they open in the Filter Jobs popup.

Opening the Filters

  • Filters button: The funnel button to the right of the search on the Jobs page. Once filters are set, how many shows in a circle on its corner. The cog just left of it is for the list's columns, covered in Jobs List.
  • Saved state: The filters open with your current choices already set, so you can see what is active before changing anything.
  • On a computer or tablet: Each filter has its name above it and changes the list as soon as you change it. The button at the foot says how many jobs the list now has, such as Show 24 jobs, and closes the filters. Clear all beside it, there once something is set, puts every filter back, which means Active jobs only.
  • Chips: Each filter you set shows as a chip beside the search, such as Status: Cancelled, Rounds: Monday +2 or Due: 1 Nov – 30 Nov 2026. The × on a chip takes that filter off, and clicking a chip opens the filters. When they don't fit beside the search, they move to a line underneath it.
  • On a phone: Filters opens the Filter Jobs popup. Apply saves your choices onto the list and closes it, and Clear Filters resets the popup and the list together.

What Each Filter Does

  • Status: Leave this on Active for normal day-to-day work. Switch it when you need suspended, cancelled, complete, or transferred jobs. Choosing All Statuses is useful for audits and cleanup.
  • Due Date Range: Use this when you want a date window. It shows the first and last day in the field, such as 01/11/2026 – 30/11/2026, and opens the calendar to change them. This is especially helpful when you are reviewing upcoming work or checking what should have happened in a past period.
  • Price Not Risen Since: Pick a day to see the jobs whose price hasn't gone up with Increase Prices since then, and those it never has. A rise that started on the day counts as since it, so that job is left out. Prices changed by hand on a job don't count. It isn't shown if your role doesn't include View Prices and Balances.
  • Owes: Tick Owes money to see only the jobs that owe something. More than then appears: leave it empty for anything owed, or type an amount, such as 50, to see only the jobs owing more than it. The chip says Owes: Anything or Owes: More than £50.00. It isn't there when your role can't see prices and balances. Tick the jobs it finds and choose Add to Collection Sheet to go and collect. See Adding Jobs to a Collection Sheet.
  • Round: Use this when you want jobs from one collection, route, or round only. The field supports multiple selections, so you can compare a handful of rounds in one list.
  • Service: Narrow the list to one or more job types. This is one of the quickest ways to review all work for a particular service.
  • Payment Method: Useful when you are checking jobs by how they are normally paid, especially before chasing balances or preparing a payment-related workflow.
  • Equipment: Use this when you need to find every job assigned a particular piece of equipment, such as when a tool is out of service and you need to reschedule the affected work. Multiple items can be selected at once.
  • Business: This only appears when you can work across more than one business. Use it when you need the list to show one business, several businesses, or everything inside your current business selection.

How Multiple Filters Work Together

The filters combine rather than acting as alternatives. If you pick a service, a round, and a due-date range, the Jobs page only shows jobs that satisfy all three. When the list suddenly goes empty, it usually means one of the filters is more restrictive than expected.

Practical Uses

  • Upcoming route check: Filter by due date plus round.
  • Service cleanup: Filter by service plus status.
  • Payment review: Filter by payment method plus status.
  • Next price rise: Filter by Price Not Risen Since to find the jobs that have gone longest without a rise, then tick them and choose Increase Prices from More Actions.
  • Collection round: Filter by round plus Owes more than an amount, tick the jobs and choose Add to Collection Sheet.
  • Multi-business review: Filter by business when the same user manages several teams or locations.
  • Jobs List: The list these filters narrow, with its columns and the actions for the jobs you tick.
  • Bulk Edit Popup: Often used straight after filtering down to the jobs you want to change.
  • Transfer Jobs Popup: Useful when filters help you isolate the jobs that need moving into another business.
  • Equipment on Jobs and Worksheets: Useful when the equipment filter is being used to find affected jobs.
  • Increase Prices Popup: Put prices up for the jobs the Price Not Risen Since filter finds.
