Overdue Jobs Card

What the Overdue Jobs card checks and how it differs from date-range reporting on the Dashboard.

Work Planner Team12 April 2026

The Overdue Jobs card tells you how many active jobs have already slipped past today. It is one of the quickest ways to spot planning pressure on the Dashboard.

What Counts as Overdue

  • Active jobs only: The card only checks active jobs.
  • Due date: A job counts once its Due date is before today.
  • Current snapshot: This card ignores the Dashboard date range and stays focused on what is overdue right now.

How to Use It

  • Operations warning light: A rising overdue number usually means planning, rescheduling, or worksheet action is needed.
  • Open overdue jobs: The link under the number opens the Jobs list on the jobs behind it: active jobs with a Due date up to yesterday. Any other filters you left on the Jobs list are cleared, so the list matches the count.
  • Upcoming Jobs Card: Useful when you want to compare work that is late with work that is due soon.
  • Jobs List: Where Open overdue jobs takes you, to work through the overdue jobs themselves.
  • Scheduling a Job: Helpful when the overdue count points to schedule setup problems.
  • Dashboard Overview: Covers where this card sits in the overall layout.
