Work Done by Service Widget

How the Work Done by Service chart works, including what the bars represent and how business indicators appear in multi-business views.

Work Planner Team12 April 2026

Work Done by Service is the bar chart version of your service mix. It shows the work done for each service in the selected period, so you can see which services bring in the most.

What the Bars Represent

  • Work done: Each bar is what you charged for that service's completed jobs and other charges in the range, counted as on the Work Done Card. The tooltip calls it Work done. The bar height follows the work done, not the number of jobs.
  • Which service: A charge on a job counts towards the job's service, and any other charge towards the service chosen on it. Charges with no service aren't shown.
  • Top ten: The chart keeps to the ten services with the most work done so it stays readable.
  • Business indicators: In multi-business views, the tooltips can show business colour markers beside the service label.

Under the chart, Open Completed jobs by service opens the Completed Jobs Report on its By service tab for the same dates, with how many jobs were done and missed, the skip rate and the work done for every service, not just the top ten, and the totals underneath. Choose By month there to see each month side by side. The link only shows if your role can see reports.

How to Read It

  • Tall bar: Usually means that service is doing a lot of your work in the selected period.
  • Date-sensitive: Change the Dashboard date range and the service ranking can change a lot.
  • Not the same as Breakdown by Service: That pie chart also counts the jobs for each service, so the story can be different.
