Work Done Trend Widget
How the Dashboard Work Done Trend chart works, including when it switches from daily to monthly grouping.
Work Done Trend is the chart version of the Work Done Card. Instead of one headline figure, it shows the work done across the selected period as a bar for each day or month, so you can see the busy and quiet spells.
How the Grouping Works
- Up to two months: The chart has a bar for each day of the range.
- Longer ranges: Once the range is longer than two months, Work Planner switches to a bar for each month so the chart stays readable.
- All Time: This also has a bar for each month.
What It Is Plotting
- Work done: The bars, labelled Work done, show what you charged for completed jobs and other charges, counted the same way as the Work Done card. Missed visits and opening balances are left out, and for a VAT-registered business it's before VAT.
- Not money received: The chart follows the work, not the payments. For payments over time, use the Financial Overview Widget.
- Date-sensitive: The selected Dashboard range completely reshapes the chart.
- Trend use: This is the best Dashboard view for spotting peaks, drops, and seasonality in your work.
Where the Link Goes
Under the chart, Open Profit and loss opens the Profit and Loss Report for the same dates, with its own month-by-month table. The link only shows if your role can see reports.
