Total Tips Card
What the Total Tips card measures and why Work Planner keeps tips separate from the work done and money received.
The Total Tips card shows the tips you were given in the Dashboard's date range. Work Planner keeps them apart from the work done, so you can see the extra clearly instead of it being buried in your charges.
What It Counts
- Completed tips: The card totals the completed tips dated in the selected period.
- Date-sensitive: Like the Work Done Card, this one changes when you change the Dashboard date range.
- Separate from work done: Tips aren't part of the Work Done or Money Received cards, and they don't change what a customer owes, which makes it easier to see whether tips are growing or falling.
- In your profit: The Profit and Loss Report counts your tips as part of your income.
Where the Link Goes
Under the figure, Open the tips opens the Transactions List showing just the tips for the same dates, so you can see who gave them and when. The link only shows if your role can see payments.
When It Helps
- Team performance conversations: It can show whether certain periods generate stronger customer goodwill.
- Read beside the work done: Looking at this card next to Work Done helps you separate what you charged from the extras.
