Revenue and Financial Summary Cards

What the Dashboard money cards mean, including work done, money received, tips, what you are owed, net cash flow, and pending payments.

Work Planner Team11 April 2026

These are the cards most people read first when they open the Dashboard. They tell you how much work you've done, how much money has come in, what you're still owed, and whether anything is waiting on payment confirmation. Each one has a link under its figure to the page behind it, which only shows when your role can open that page. For a VAT-registered business the figures are before VAT.

Work Done

  • Work Done: What you charged for the work done in the selected date range: completed jobs and other charges. Missed visits and opening balances aren't counted. See the Work Done Card.
  • Dynamic title: The title names the selected range, such as Work Done (This Month), Work Done (This Tax Year) or Work Done (All Time).
  • Comparison badge: For This Week, Last Week, This Month and Last Month, Work Planner compares it with the period before.
  • Open Profit and loss: Opens the Profit and Loss Report for the same dates.

Money Received

  • Money Received: The payments that came in during the selected date range, less any refunds you gave in it. See the Money Received Card.
  • Open the payments: Opens the payments for the same dates in the Transactions List.

Total Tips

  • Total Tips: Tips are shown separately from the work done.
  • Why that matters: This helps you see the extra you were given without confusing it with the charges that make up what customers owe.
  • Open the tips: Opens the tips for the same dates in the Transactions List.

Owed to You

  • Owed to You: What customers owe on their jobs right now, including customers who have left and jobs that have stopped. It's the same total as Who owes you and Accounts Home, and the date range doesn't change it. See the Owed to You Card.
  • Use it for: A quick sense check of how much you're still owed before you go deeper into debts or invoicing work.
  • Open Who owes you: Opens Who Owes You, with everyone who owes you and the oldest debt first.

Net Cash Flow and Pending Payments

  • Net Cash Flow: The money received less refunds and expenses for the selected date range. It isn't your profit: the Profit and Loss Report counts your income by your accounting basis, with tips and bad debts. See the Net Cash Flow Card.
  • Pending Payments: These are payments that exist but are still waiting on confirmation from a payment provider, so they are not counted in the other cards yet. Open pending payments lists them in the Transactions List.
  • Read them together: A healthy net cash flow with a large pending-payments card means money is moving, but some of it has not finished clearing yet.
